(01/08/03) FULL REINSTATEMENT and we made it to the 212 touch-pad with a little left over.  All of the pledges made in the PRELIMS will be put towards the $2M  that we must now raise.  There is no single phrase that can express the life lessons learned over the last 45 days, so here's a few "Seuss-isms":

On gratitude, a passage from "Green Eggs and Ham."
"Thank you, thank you, Sam-I-am!"

On loyalty,  a passage from "Horton Hatches the Egg."
"I meant what I said, and I said what I meant … An elephant's faithful one hundred percent!"

On success,  a passage from "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
"So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact and remember that life's a great balancing act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.) Kid, you'll move mountains!"

(01/06/03) How many times have we heard this?  "Strong finish.  Head down, no breath, kick hard and REACH."  If not now, when?

(01/04/03) We're past the flags!  Don't you have a friend who might want to join us to support swimming and diving?  Ask them to join us at the Dartmouth Invitational.

(01/02/03) <- First, isn't that a cool date?  Second, It was a fantastic way to start the New Year - the first pledge came in at 12:25AM EST.  This was followed by some wonderful "Happy New Year" pledges.  Thank you to everyone.

(12/29/02) Oh my, Oh my!  Are we going to succeed?  We will indeed!  Two more pledges came in at the "Dartmouth founding date".  Pledges and the letters of support continue to arrive.  Looking forward to what the new year will bring.

(12/29/02) Another amazing weekend of generous participation.  We are 60% of the way there with a new year starting soon.  In January everyone will be back to work and reading their email.  Please continue to invite people to join us. Ten days to prepare for the meeting on January 9th.

(12/27/02) Interesting couple of days at the pool with an eclectic group of participants pledging a total of $5,213.  The most interesting pledge came in for 1769 - the year Dartmouth was founded.  More history in the making.

(12/25/02) The elves have been busy over the last two days.  In just ten days, we are more than half-way to the 212.  Now comes the third leg and if you've ever swam or run the mile, you know it is the third quarter that is the toughest and the most important for the finish.  Please continue to contact those who could support our cause - Save the Dartmouth Swimming and Diving Programs.  Thank you.

(12/23/02) It was a little slower paced at the Dartmouth Invitational over the weekend.  We now have a grand total of $65,122 on our way to the $212,000.  You may wonder why the odd amount; one of our entries came in at 212.  The Meet Director had hoped that it was just missing the trailing ,000.  It was certainly warmly sent and greeted with a smile.  Some great news: a friend wanted to enter the meet but was having difficulty with the entry form which is not really suitable for an international address.  Apologies to all our friends outside the USA.  Please use the "Additional Information" field for additional address information.  We truly welcome your participation.

(12/21/02) New grand total of just a little over $63,000 in less than one week. Please continue to invite all your friends and families to jump into our pool.

(12/19/02) We now have a grand total of $37,430 in just four short days. Twenty days until the 1/9/03 meeting with Administration.  We're on our way.  Please keep inviting others to join us.

(12/17/02) We have had a wonderful response. In just two short days, we have raised a little over $20,000.  We've made a great start in our sprint toward raising $212,000 prior to the meeting on January 9, 2003.  We have also had a couple of participants indicate an interest in the longer distance event.

 (12/15/02) Start.
